Image of the October Revolution in School Textbooks on History (1930s – Early XXI Century)

School textbooks on history published during the period from 1930s till early XI century are analyzed as historiographical sources on the history of 1917 Russian October Revolution. The development of history education at schools is studied as well as its basic principles. The concept of October Revolution in these textbooks is described. The process of changing assessment of the Revolution with regard to national development depending on political situation is considered.
