Author(s)
E. S. Buchueva
Abstract

This article continues the discussion of the parish period of the history of the Nerchinsk Assumption Church in Kalinino village, Nerchinsky District, Trans-Baikal Territory. It provides a description of the life and work of priest Nikolai Ivanovich Znamensky, the last priest in charge of the now destroyed and forgotten Nerchinsk Assumption Church from the forgotten Kalinino village. The biographical material telling about his tragic fate was gleaned from official documents of the clerical department of the Trans-Baikal diocese and numerous interviews and conversations with the descendants of the abbot living both within our country from Riga to Vladivostok and in the countries of near and far abroad.
