The Presidential Elections: Fight of People, Ideas or Symbols/Meanings

Author(s)
Yu. A. Zulyar
Abstract
The analysis of the recent presidential elections has been given viewing them as the result of the established in Russia political system not depending upon the elections. The system works in the way that it becomes impossible to change the regime – the system and the regime are inseparable within the former one. In terms of a liberal model, the political system has been simplified but it has become more creative compared to the Soviet one.
