Western Civilization: From the “Cemetery of Nations”
to the “Empire of Lies”
Author(s)
Abstract
Based on an imagological approach, the article consistently traces the formation of Western civilization, the influence of geographical determinism on it, and the transformation of Western
civilization into a hegemonic, expansionist, slave-owning, and colonial state with a touch of racism,
Nazism, and fascism, which subsequently allowed historiosophists to define this civilization as a
“Cemetery of Peoples.” A comprehensive historiography of this process is given, which makes it
possible, based on the conclusions of scientists analyzing this historical process, to verify the logic of
the author's ideas about Western civilization. West is based on outright lies, falsifications and fakes,
which increased especially during the period of Russia's special military operation, which indicates
the false ideologemmas and stereotypes of perception towards Russia that are ingrained in Western
society.
