Author(s)
S. M. Zakharov
Abstract
The article analyzes how TikTok has become a platform for political content due to ongoing sociopolitical processes in Russia. The study uses behavioral and conflictological methods to understand the influence of TikTok on youth behavior and protest potential. The research aims to evaluate TikTok's role in politicizing youth in modern Russia. The study highlights TikTok's potential as a platform for young people to express their political views, participate in political life, and form their political identity. The author concludes that TikTok's algorithms adapt to the characteristics of contemporary youth, leading to the spread of protest discourse. The authorities are aware of these processes and aim to prevent the development of protest sentiments.
