The article is devoted to methodological problems of the study of conservatism connected with the proximity of classical scientific rationality and liberal ideology. The author believes that the study of conservatism and other non-liberal concepts leads to their liberalization. The author comes to the conclusion that modern post non-classical stage of science development gives the opportunity to enlarge the scope of acceptable methods of the conservatism study and to reflect its specific character better.
