Abstract
Article is devoted to the ethnodemographic characteristic of indigenous people of the foothills of Northern Altai according to the registers of the late XIXth – the early XXth centuries. The author reconstructs traditional type of reproduction of the population, interfaced to high level of birth rate, mortality and marriage, prevalence of exogenous factors in mortality structure, prevalence of early and repeated marriages.
